A delegation from the Commission for Mass Mobilization in Tay Ninh province led by Vice Chairman Nguyễn Văn Trung on January 14 paid visits to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Executive Council (South office) and the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) in Ho Chi Minh city ahead of the traditional New Year (Tet) 2020.
During the visits, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Văn Trung praised practical contributions made by local Protestants and Buddhists in building charity houses, offering free health checks and distribution of medicines, providing and supports to the poor, etc with the total contribution of over 33 billion VND.
Vice Chairman Nguyễn Văn Trung took the chance to convey Tet greetings to religious dignitaries of the two churches.

On the same day, Secretary of Hai Phong city Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the city People’s Council Lê Văn Thành paid a pre-Tet visit Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese cum Apostolic of Hai Phong diocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên.
