A delegation led by Secretary of the Soc Trang provincial Party Committee Lâm Văn Mẫn visited on October 27 Khmer pagodas in the province on occasion of Ok Om Bok festival – Ngo (Khmer boat) race in Soc Trang 2020.
The delegation visited Khmer pagodas of Bon Mat (Four Faces), Cham Pa in Phu Tan commune and Phnoroka in Phu Tam commune.
At visiting places, Secretary Lâm Văn Mẫn extended best wishes to Khmer monks, the festival’s organization board, and members of teams participating in the Ngo boat race this year.
The management boards of pagodas took the chance to inform the preparation for participating teams with 70-90 participants each team of Ngo boat race 2020 in Soc Trang province.
On this occasion, Secretary Lâm Văn Mẫn presented 10 million VND in cash to each boat racing team of pagodas, showing their interests in preserving the boat-racing traditions of Khmer people in the province
