Deputy Secretary of Lang Son provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phạm Ngọc Thưởng hosted a reception on September 28 for a delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee in Lang Sơn province.
The Buddhist delegation was led by Most Venerable Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS Chapter in Lang Son province Thích Quảng Tùng.
During the visiting reception, Most Venerable Thích Quảng Tùng shared with the hosts about results of the 3rd congress of the VBS Chapter in the province and expressed hope that local authorities would create favorable conditions for Buddhist practice in the coming time.
Deputy Secretary Phạm Ngọc Thường congratulated the successful organization of the 3rd congress of the VBS Chapter in the province and called on the new VBS’ Executive Committee to further encourage Buddhist followers to proactively engage in social and charitable activities, contributing to the socio-economic development in the locality.
