Inspection of religious laws implementation in Quang Binh

A delegation from the Quang Binh provincial committee for religious affairs inspected the implementation of law provisions on religion in the province’s Tuyen Hoa district on August 1.  

The delegation was led by Deputy Director of the provincial home affairs department in charge of religious affairs in the province Phan Ngọc Duy.

During the inspection, the delegation had an exchange meeting with Tuyen Hoa district authorities on the implementation of law provisions on belief and religion and visited Thanh Thach commune in the district for gathering information on practical implementation of state provisions of laws on belief and religion in the locality.

The inspection focused on the dissemination of state policies and laws on belief and religion, including the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 and its guiding decree 162, the addressing of violations and practical issues relating religion in the district, the personnel and organization of the state administration on religion at the district and commune levels in the locality, etc.

Tuyen Hoa district is currently home to 17,000 Catholic believers residing in 19 out of all 20 communes and wards in the locality and, accounting for 21% of the district population with five parishes, as well as 500 followers of Buddhism with two pagodas.
