Inspection of belief & religion law implementation in An Giang province’s Long Xuyen city

An inspection delegation of the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang province has had a working meeting on the implementation of the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion in the province’s Long Xuyen city over the 2021-2022 period.
Meeting with the People’s Committee in Long Xuyen city
As reported, Long Xuyen city has currently 11 operative religions with 40 religious worshipping places and 25 belief-worshipping establishments and over 221,000 followers. Over the past years, religious followers in the city have proactively participated in social charities and patriotic movements launched by local authorities for socio-economic development in the city.

The delegation of the provincial religious committee also had exchanges with the authorities of My Long, My Hoa and Binh Duc wards, and belief and religious worshipping places in localities.
