The Vietnam Youth Union in Dong Nai province held the ethnic and religious youth festival in Long Thanh district’s Phuoc Binh commune and honored outstanding ethnic and religious youth in the province on May 25.

At the event, participating youth also participated in exciting activities including the traditional costume contest, introduction of cultural specialties of ethnic groups in the province, and gong culture of Choro ethnic group, and folk games, etc.
On the occasion, the festival honored 11 outstanding ethnic and religious youth in the province for their achievements in learning, promoting socio-economic development and gathering youth in localities.
The organizing committee also presented gifts to prestigious people in the Choro ethnic village, support packages to disadvantaged Choro ethnic households, 200 sets of supports to local people and pupils, inaugurated a children's play area at the Choro ethnic cultural house, and provided free health-check and medicines, haircuts for more than 250 children and local people.
