The Home Affairs Department in Kon Tum province held on November 17 a gathering with outstanding dignitaries of local religious organizations in the province.
The event saw the presence of Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, Deputy Director of the provincial Home Affairs Department Nguyễn Thành Chung, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Quang Dũng, and over 150 typical religious dignitaries and deacons in the province.
During the event, representatives from local authorities updated information on socio-economic development and religious affairs the locality and religious activities, as well as results of solving practical issues raised by religious organizations and individuals in the province.
Participating delegates also had exchanges on issues relating to registration of collective religious practices, allocation off land for building religious worshipping places, the establishment and division of grassroots religious organizations, and the notification of appointed, elected and nominated dignitaries, etc.
