Tuyen Hoa district People’s Committee formally handed over the administration of Linh Son ancient pagoda to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Chapter in Quang Binh province at a ceremony held on August 14.
The event taking place at Linh Son pagoda located in Tuyen Hoa district saw the participation of representatives from the provincial VBS Executive Committee, local authorities and Buddhist followers in the locality.
Linh Son Pagoda is an ancient pagoda built in 1840s at the end of King Minh Mạng’s reign. Since 1945, the pagoda has been degraded by wars and natural disasters, and without Buddhists to look after for a long time. Local people started to come to Linh Son historical Buddhist place and partly repaired the pagoda after 2017
