Accordingly, heads of provincial departments and agencies and district-level people’s committees under the municipal government would assign officials to closely monitor festivals held in respective localities, especially major festivals such as Dong Da Mound, Huong pagoda, Hai Ba Trung Temple, West Lake Tepmple, pagodas of Tram, Tram Gian and Thay, and strictly handle violations in the organization of festivals.

The head of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports is to propose the establishment of the interdisciplinary inspection on the management and organization of festivals.

Under the issued document, the People’s Committees of cities and districts under the municipal government will develop plans for the management and organization of festivals in accordance with practical conditions and state regulations for ensuring festivals organized safely, economically and in civilized manners.
