A delegation of Hanoi municipal government led by Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Ngô Thị Thanh Hằng on May 23 visited Ba Da Pagoda for meeting with the executive committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Hanoi, ahead of the 2562nd Buddha’s Birthday.
The Deputy Secretary extended wishes to the VBS executive committee and all followers of Buddhism in the city on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday and spoke highly of social contributions by local Buddhists.
She also asked the VBS executive committee in the city to closely join the municipal authorities in making Hanoi become a beautiful and prosperous city.
Speaking with the guests, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS executive committee in Hanoi Thích Bảo Nghiêm took the chance to thank Hanoi municipal authorities for their support and favorable conditions extended to practicies of Buddhism in the locality over the past years.
