The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has just announced the city's renovation of relics for 2022

Hanoi currently has nearly 6,000 relics of all kinds, of which, hundreds of relics are degraded. The investment, renovation and anti-degradation must be carried out regularly and continuously.

After a period of stagnation due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the cultural sector and localities are "accelerating" the implementation of renovation activities.

Specifically, during this time, there are 20 of 30 districts and towns carrying out restoration and embellishment of relics, which are concentrated in the following districts: Hoai Duc, Gia Lam, Nam Tu Liem, Ha Dong, Ba Vi, and Me Linh.

Based on the city's support capital, localities have focused on restoring and embellishing relics following the process and procedures. The investment works must ensure the technical and quality requirements, and promptly prevent the deterioration of many monuments in the city.

Many localities have balanced funding sources for districts, towns, cities, communes, wards and townships, and at the same time mobilised people to socialise a reasonably large budget to carry out renovation work. Accordingly, Me Linh district mobilised 1.5 billion VND, Ba Dinh district mobilised 3 billion VND and Thanh Tri district is 3.7 billion VND.
