Ha Tinh to preserve traditional festival of Chut ethnic group

The Culture, Sport and Tourism in Ha Tinh province has issued a dispatch on the restoration of the Lap lo traditional festival of Chut ethnic group in Rao Tre village in the province’s Huong Khe district.  

The restoration of the Lap Lo festival, known as the seed-planting ceremony, aims to preserve unique values and traditional customs of Chut ethnic group, as well as introduce these traditional values to local visitors and tourists.

According to the dispatch, the restoration included traditional rituals and festive parts will take place from February to August this year.

As reported, Chut ethnic group has migrated from mountain areas of Quang Binh province to Ha Tinh province, and currently resides in Rao Tre village of Huong Khe’s Huong Lien commune.
