Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee Đặng Quốc Vinh led a delegation on February 10 to visit and extend celebrations to Ha Tinh diocese on occasion of its establishment.
Speaking with Bishop of Ha Tinh diocese Paul Nguyễn Thái Hợp, Vice Chairman Đặng Quốc Vinh expressed hope that the Bishop and Catholic dignitaries would guide followers’ religious practices and encourage them to join local movements for social development in the locality.
Ha Tinh Catholic diocese has been established upon a separation from Vinh diocese and it covers two provinces of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh. Bishop Paul Nguyễn Thái Hợp, former Bishop of Vinh diocese was appointed as Bishop of Ha Tinh diocese.
