The provincial government of Ha Tinh has issued an official note for enhancing the organization and management of festivals in the province.
In the formal document dated January 8, the provincial authorities of Ha Tinh requested necessary measures taken for ensuring the organizatons and management of festivals taking place in safe and economic manners and promoting and educating fine humane values.
In particular, the Ha Tinh provincial government asked for a strict implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion 2016, Directive No. 41 issued by the Party’s Secritariate Committee in 2015 for strengthening of the Party’s leadership on the organization and administration of festivals, Instruction No. 06 issued by the Prime Minister in 2017 for correcting the organization and management of festivals and commemorative events, Decree No. 110 issued by the Government in 2018 for regulating the organization and administration of festivals, as well as concerning administrative documents issued by the Ha Tinh provincial government for regulating the organization and management of traditional festivals, ceremonies, etc.
In organizing festivals, the local authorities are requested to promote fine customs and civilized lifestyles in the worshipping places, ensure festivals taking place in safe and economic manners, and prevent superstitious activities, fortune telling, votive paper burning, deviant worshipping practices, and activities for making individual profits in the name of belief and religion, etc.
In planning the organization of festivals held frequently with large scales and, the concerning local authorities shall collaborate with the provincial department for culture, sport and tourism in setting up the organizing board of the festivals and taking necessary measures for ensuing public order, human safety and transportation, etc for people joining the festivals.
The issued document also requested the organization of a festival shall be notified 20 days in advance, and the organization board of a festival shall submit the organization report within 15 days after the closing day of the festival.
Earlier, the provincial-level governments of Binh Phuoc Yen Bai, Hanoi, Dong Nai, Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue, etc have also issued official notes for strengthening the organization and management of festivals.
