The People’s Committee in Lang Son province’s Chi Lang district held on May 13 the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction (first phase) of Chi Lang temple located in the district’s Chi Lang commune.
The temple construction was the first phase of an approved project for construction of Chi Lang relic site and it was scheduled to be completed in 2020.
The construction project includes a museum, a monument, a worshipping temple and supporting facilities, etc covering the areas of 50 hectares. The project was split into two phases with the total investment of over 110 VND million.
At the ground-breaking ceremony
Chi Lang relic site marked important military victories against invaders from Song Dynasty twice in centuries 10th and 11th, and three Mongol invasions in 13th century. The relic site was recognized as a national site in 1962 by the culture, sport & tourism ministry.
