The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with Tay Ninh provincial authorities held on October 14 a legal workshop on religious laws for key followers from the Islamic community in the province.
Attending the event included Director of the GCRA’s Department of Other Various Religion Nguyễn Ánh Chức, Deputy Director the GCRA’s Department of Other Various Religion Trần Thị Minh Thu, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Võ Thành Công, Head of the representative committee of the Islamic community in the province Haji Chàm Sá and large numbers of Islamic dignitaries, deacons and followers in the province.
During the workshop, participants learnt about the State’s policies and laws relating religions in general and Islam in particular; contents of the new Law on belief and religion passed by the National Assembly in November last year that will take effect on January 1, 2018. As part of the workshop, members of the Islamic Community in Tay Ninh province also learnt about legal regulations on international religious activities regarding relations with Islamic countries
