The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held a conference on July 23-24 in Can Tho city for disseminating religious laws to local officials in Southern region.

Attending the conference’s opening ceremony included Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of the city People’s Council Lê Văn Tâm, and 250 participating officials tasked with religious affairs from sectors of home affairs, mass mobilization work, public security, culture, women and youth from 19 provinces and cities in the South of Vietnam.

The two-day event covered related topics including the current religious life in Vietnam and State policies and laws on belief and religion, with focus on key contents of the new Law on Belief and Religion, the Decree 162 on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the new law and administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion.
