The Culture, Sport and Tourism Department in Tra Vinh in collaboration with the provincial museum held on November 2 a ceremony for formally receiving artifacts of collectors in Tra Vinh and neighboring provinces and opening its exhibition on occasion of Ok Om Bok festival and marking the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
At the exhibition
As reported, the provincial museum received 684 artifacts from 26 collectors outside the province and 70 artifacts donated by 13 organizations and individuals in the province. The exhibition runs until November 8.
According to Deputy Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Department Thạch Bồi, Tra Vinh currently has 34 provincial-level historical sites, 16 national-level historical sites, one national treasure, and nearly 14,000 artifacts and five intangible cultural spots named in the national intangible cultural heritage list .
On the occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certifications of merit to one collective and three individuals, and the Culture, Sport and Tourism Department presented certificates of recommendation to one group and eight individuals for their outstanding contributions in presenting artifacts to the provincial museum.
