The Home Affairs Department in the central highland province of Kon Tum held on December 3 an exchange meeting with key members of religious organizations in the province.
The event saw the presence of Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Y Ngọc, Deputy Director of the provincial Home Affairs Department Đoàn Văn Minh, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Quang Dũng, representatives from local authorities, and 110 religious dignitaries representing religious followers in the province.
During the event, Chairman Vũ Quang Dũng informed the socio-economic development and practices of religions in the locality in 2020 as well as results of solving lawful applications of religious individuals and organizations by local authorities in 2020.
At the meeting, the religious dignitaries took the chance to thank the provincial authorities for the support and favorable creations extended to practices of religions in the province and expressed hope that local authorities of Kon Tum would organize frequent meetings with religious dignitaries for prompt exchanges and discussion of practical issues involving lawful religious practices in the province.

Addressing at the event, Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc highly valued contributions made by religious followers for socio-economic development in the province and the Covid-19 pandemic prevention work. She also asked religious dignitaries to actively join hands with local authorities for boosting sustainable development in the locality.
