The People’s Committee in Ben Cat provincial city, Binh Duong province held on March 13 an exchange meeting with dignitaries and deacons from five religions in the locality.
The meeting saw the participation of Political Commissar of the provincial Military Command Ao Tấn Tài, Chairman of the provincial Religious Committee in Binh Duong province Trần Đức Thịnh, and 50 dignitaries and deacons of the Buddhism, the Catholicism, the Protestantism, the Caodaism and the Pure-Land Buddhist Association.
During the meeting, representative officials from Binh Duong province and Ben Cat provincial city briefed latest developments on the East Sea, defense – security, socio-economic issues, as well as the contribution of nearly one billion VND by religious organizations to social charities in the locality.
Representatives of five religious communities took the chance to thank local authorities for favorable conditions created for the religious affairs of religious organizations in the locality over the past year.
