As many as over 600 religious dignitaries of religions in Can Tho city attended an exchange meeting organized by the provincial Public Security on July 5.
Joining the meeting also included Chairman of the municipal people’s committee Võ Thành Thống, Director of the Can Tho Municipal police department Trần Ngọc Hạnh, representatives from municipal departments and agencies.

The meeting aimed at strengthening coordination between the municipal police department and local religious followers for preventing crimes and ensuring social security in the city.
During the meeting, Colonel Director of the Can Tho municipal police department Trần Ngọc Hạnh praised local religious dignitaries and followers’ contributions to the movement engaging all-people to protect public security.
As reported at the event, in addition to practical contributions to social security, religious followers in the locality spent over 35 VND billion on charity activities in the first half of 2018.
On the occasion, the municipal people’s committee and police department presented certificates of merit to outstanding groups and individuals of local religious organizations for their practical contributions to the social security in the locality.
