A club established for environment protection, provision of clean water and waste treatment by An Minh Caodai parish in Kien Giang province’s An Minh district was formally announced at a signing ceremony held on June 18.
The ceremony was held by the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s committee in collaboration with the provincial department of natural resources and environment and the representative board of the Caodai parish of Tay Ninh Caodai Church.
According to Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF’s committee Ngô Phương Vũ the establishment of the club aimed to promote roles, responsibilities and practical contributions of religious followers toward environment protection and climate change responses in the residential area of An Minh parish, including the building of garbage incinerators, clean water supplying, hygiene and safety food ensuring and the prevention of diseases caused by water recourse and cattle.
On the occasion, the environmental protection office under the provincial department of natural resources and environment also shared harmful effects of garbage and plastic bag using as well as gave guidance on waste processing and sorting solutions to members of the club.
