A delegation of Ha Nam provincial Police led by Colonel Deputy Director Kiều Hữu Tuyển visited on April 11 Tam Chuc pagoda – the venue of the United Nations (UN) Day of Vesak 2019 for inspecting measures for ensuring the fire safety during the event.
During the inspecting visit, the delegation was briefed with the fire safety system at places hosting festive and welcoming activities for the UN Day of Vesak.
The delegation also undertook an actual inspection of equipments and arrangements for on-site fire fighting, such as fire extinguishers and water sources in the main worshipping hall, the conference center and parking areas aimed at promptly preventing risk of fire and explosion, contributing to ensure the fire safety for the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
The UN Day of Vesak 2019 slated for May 10-15 expects the participation of about 1,500 international delegates from nearly 100 countries and territories all over the globe, along with 10,000 Buddhist followers and locals of Vietnam.
