Enhancing mass mobilization work in Catholic community in Hai Hau

Catholics in Hai Hau district in Nam Dinh currently accounts for 40% the district populations with 43 parishes and 2 sister congregations.  

Over the past years, the military unit in the district has well-implemented mass mobilization work amongst local Catholic community with practical results.

Since 2015, the military unit in the district has contributed 12,500 working days for building thousands of charity houses and upgrading rural roads, canals and 28,000 m2 of land for developing rural roads in Catholic community.  

Over the past years, Hai Hau district military command closely coordinated with local authorities in promoting roles of priests and parishioners for boosting dissemination of national security and defense knowledge amongst local Catholic communities as well as organized training courses on knowledge of national security and defense for thousands of Catholic priests and deacons.

Given these positive results, the Hai Hau district military unit has been recognized as an outstanding example in the implementation of mass mobilization amongst religious communities by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense during 2013-2018 period.
