About 100 religious deacons of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Pure-land Buddhist Association, and Hoa Hao Buddhism in Ca Mau province have attended a conference on knowledge of security and defense held on July 19-22.

The event was organized by the Security and Defense Education Council in Ca Mau province.
The conference aimed to enhance knowledge of the State and Party’s policies and guidelines on defense and security as well as raise awareness and responsibilities of religious deacons in the maintenance of national security and defense.
During the four-day event, the participating deacons listened to contents of the Party and the State’s policies and guidelines on ethnicity and religion concerning security and defense in the new situation, and State laws on defense, national security, cyber security, military service, national defense and security education, militia and self-defense, national border, the sea of Vietnam, as well as key contents of the Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding decree, etc.
