Dong Nai grants 4.3 hectares of land to three religious establishments for resettlement

The provincial government of Dong Nai has so far given 4.3 hectares of land to three religious establishments of Buu Lam Buddhist Pagoda and Catholic parishes of Thanh Tam and Thanh Duc for resettlement of facilities.  

As these religious places originally had construction facilities located within the Long Thanh International Airport project, the Dong Nai provincial authorities had earlier taken back 11,000m2 of land from Buu Lam Pagoda, 12,500m2 of land from Thanh Tam Parish and 3,400m2 of land from Thanh Duc Parish for land clearance.

The provincial government had also paid over 27 billion VND as compensations for the land taken from the religious establishments.

So far, the Dong Nai provincial government has directed its department for national resources and environment to provide mappings of land relocation in Loc An – Binh Son resettlement area in the province’s Long Thanh district to the three religious places, and the provincial construction department, the provincial committee for religious affairs and Long Thanh district authorities are guiding the religious establishments in administrative procedures for construction licenses.

Once the in Loc An – Binh Son resettlement area completes its infrastructures, Dong Nai provincial authorities will formally hand over allocated land and the land-use right certificates to the three religious organizations before starting worshipping and supporting facilities.
