The Vietnam Fatherland Front Board in Krong Pa district of the central highland province of Gia Lai held on October 19 an exchange meeting with dignitaries and leaders of religious organizations in the district.
During the meeting, Deputy Head of Krong Pa district’s Party Board Kpă Ngun highly appreciated efforts of local religious dignitaries and leaders in promoting fine traditions and values of religions, practically contributing to community cohesion and socio-economic development in the district.
Participating religious followers took the chance to thank due attention and favorable conditions created for locals to enjoy the right to freedom of religion and stable practices of religions, and for religious establishments to conduct religious affairs in accordance with their own charters and regulations.
On the occasion, the district authorities of Krong Pa present 35 gift sets to participating religious dignitaries and leaders of religious organizations in the district.
Krong Pa currently has three major religions of Buddhism, Catholicism and Protestantism with over 20,000 followers, accounting for more than 22% of the district population.
