According to the meeting report, the religious steering committee of Cua Lo has closely worked with local authorities for better meeting religious practices according to state laws. The steering committee has also paid attention to improve the material and spiritual life of local people including Catholics, as well as promptly work out measures dealing with illegal religious activities including Buddhist-related deviations in the locality.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of a decision by Nghe An provincial People’s Committee for expanding the Cua Lo parish, as well as the relocation of families for land clearance allowing the expansion.
