As many as 160 dignitaries, deacons of Caodaism, Hoa Hao Buddhism and Catholicism in Kien Giang province have attended a conference for disseminating state laws 2019 held on September 4 by the provincial committee for religious affairs.
Chairman of the provincial Religious Affairs Committee Danh Lắm attended and delivered the opening speech at the event.
The conference covered key contents of the Decree No. 162/2017/ND-CP dated December 30, 2017, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Belief and Religion and prescribing measures for its implementation.
The conference also allowed discussions and explanations of practical issues in implementing the new law on belief and religion in the locality.
