Gia Lai provincial Home Affairs Department held from October 8-10 a conference for disseminating laws on belief and religion for local officials and public servants tasked with belief and religious affairs at provincial and district levels.
Present at the training’s opening ceremony were Dr. Major General Bùi Thanh Hà, Deputy Director of Homeland Security Department under Ministry of Public Security, Vice Chairman of the provincial Home Affairs Department Hồ Hải Tần and over 180 officials and public servants tasked with belief and religious affairs from provincial departments and officers from the province’s districts.
During two-day conference, officials from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Public Security Ministry presented topics on the party’s guidelines and the state’s policies on belief and religion, key contents of the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 and decree 162, legal provisions related to religious land and construction, as well as practical issues in belief and religion life and recommended solutions, etc.
The conference also provided interpretations and explanations of practical issues relating the state management on belief and religion, especially administrative processes related to belief and religious activities.
