The Committee for Religious Affairs in Tien Giang province has on January 17 disseminated the government decree guiding the implementation of the law on belief and religion to representatives from the Pure-Land Buddhist Association in the province.
The dissemination took place during the reviewing conference for the 2013- 2018 tenure of the association held in the Hung Hoa temple with participation of 109 key members from nine establishments under the Buddhist association in the locality.

During the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê introduced contents of the government decree No.162/2017/ND-CP on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion. The decree was issued on December 30, 2017 and took effect on 1 January.
Earlier, the provincial religious committee also disseminated the law-guiding decree to 30 dignitaries from 10 worshiping temples of the Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church in the province during the church’s annual year-end meeting held on January 13.
