The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Thanh Hoa province in collaboration with the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and the Committee for Solidarity of Catholics in the province held on August 25 a conference for dissemination of religious laws and religious affairs training.

Attending the event included Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh, Part-time Vice President of the VFF Central Committee, President of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics cum Chairman of the provincial Committee for Solidarity of Catholics, Head of Phuc Lang parish; representatives from the provincial VFF, the provincial religious committee, home affairs department and the standing board of the VFF in districts; the Board for Solidarity of Catholics in districts of Vinh Loc, Nga Son, Tho Xuan, Nghi Son town and Thanh Hoa city, and heads of management boards and councils of Catholic parishes and sub-parishes in the province.

The one-day event covered key contents of the Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding Decree 162, as well as updated information on religious life and religious affairs in the province, and the organizational structure and functions of the Committee for Solidarity of Catholics at all levels.
