The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Committees for Clergy Affairs, Supervisory and Legal affairs for the 9th tenure formally made its debut at a ceremony held on March 13 in Thua Thien Hue province.

The event taking place at Quang Duc monastery located in Ho Chi Minh city saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng, Patriarch of the VBS, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, President of the VBS Central Executive Council, and newly elected members of the VBS’s Committees for Clergy Affairs, Supervisory, and Legal affairs.
Distinguished guests at the event included Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng, Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thị Minh Nga and Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in Ho Chi Minh city Nguyễn Duy Tân.

During the event, the VBS Central Committee has announced the appointment of Committees for Clergy Affairs, Supervisory and Legal affairs for the 9th term.
As reported, the VBS’s Committee for Clergy Affairs for the 9th tenure consists of 99 members; the 9th Committee for Supervisory has 97 members and the Committee for Legal affairs comprises of 97 members.
