Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam led a delegation to visit the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics and typical Catholic families in Nghe An province on December 16 ahead of Christmas 2017.
Joining the delegation included Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Đắc Vinh.
During the visiting reception, while extending merry Christmas to Priest Chairman of the provincial CSVC Joseph Nguyễn Đăng Điền, priests and Catholics in the province, Deputy PM Vũ Đức Đam praised followers of religion in general and Catholics in particular for making contributions to national construction and defense.

Deputy PM Vũ Đức Đam also visited and extended Christmas greetings to the family of Doctor Lương Công Chính in Kim An congregation under Lang Anh parish. Doctor Chính is Deputy Head of the traditional medicine association in Vinh city.
Deputy PM Vũ Đức Đam presents gifts to children of Lam Bich kindergarten
On the occasion, Deputy PM Vũ Đức Đam visited and presented gifts to sisters and children of Lam Bich kindergarten in Vinh city’s Nghi Phu commune. This is a Catholic private school, established in 2011 by sisters of the Yên Đại Congregation of the Holy Cross.
