The event taking place at Quan Su Pagoda in Hanoi city was organized by the VBS’s Central Executive Council.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng highly appreciated practical achievements made by the VBS’s Central Executive Council in the first four months of 2023.
According to the official, since the 9th VBS’s national congress, the VBS has organized many activities, festivals, seminars, cultural exhibitions, preaching ceremonies, etc, in a solemn manner, and contributing to preserve and promote national cultural features. Many international Buddhist activities and foreign affairs also contributed to enhance the role and image of Vietnamese Buddhism in the region, he added.
The Deputy Minister pointed out practical issues relating Buddhist affairs and the state administration on religion including the establishment of the new grassroots level, the amended Land Law, the organization of festivals, and matters relating to foreign Buddhist delegations in Vietnam.
During the event, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng and Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Ánh Chức presented floral congratulations to the VBS.
