Deputy Secretary of Da Nang city Party Committee Lương Nguyễn Minh Triết led a delegation on May 25 to visit Most Venerable Thích Từ Tánh, Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council cum Chairman of the city VBS Executive Committee on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2021 (B.E. 2565).
During the visiting reception held in Pho Da pagoda in Phan Chu Trinh street, Deputy Secretary Lương Nguyễn Minh Triết extended best wishes and happy cerebrations of the Buddha’s Birthday to Most Venerable Thích Từ Tánh, and other Buddhist monks, nuns and lay followers in the city.
He also highlighted the proactive involvement in the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils for 2021-2026 and practical contributions to the Covid-19 prevention and control by local Buddhists.
In welcoming the guests, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS executive committee in the city Thích Từ Tánh took the chance to thank local authorities for their congratulation visit the Buddha’s Birthday and stated to continue encouraging local Buddhists to promote fine traditions for socio-economic development in the city.
On the occasion, the city Committee for Religious Affairs visited and extended Vesak greetings to the executive committee of VBS Chapter in the city based in Phap Lam pagoda in Nam Duong ward, Hai Chau district.
