Present at the meeting included Chairman of the municipal Religious Affairs Committee Ngô Khôi, representatives of concerning municipal departments and agencies and nearly 20 Buddhist dignitaries in the city that have been selected for attending the UN Day of Vesak 2019 slated on May 12-14 in Ha Nam province.

During the meeting, Chairman Ngô Khôi affirmed that the municipal authorities would create favorable condition for the Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in Da Nang city to successfully organize the Buddha’s Birthday celebrations 2019. He also asked the Buddhist committee to closely work with the municipal authorities for maintain the public order and traffic safety during the Buddha’s Birthday 2019.

On this occasion, the municipal religious affairs committee also extended congratulations and presented gifts to nominated Buddhist dignitaries to the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
