Da Nang authorities meet with delegates of 7th CSVC national congress

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Da Nang city held on October 10 a meeting with Catholic delegates in the city nominated to attend the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC)’s 7th national congress.

Attending the event included Chairwoman of the city VFF Committee Đặng Thị Kim Liên and Vice Chairman of the city Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Cao Cường.

During the event, while extending greetings to the delegates of the CSVC’s national congress, Chairwoman Đặng Thị Kim Liên praised practical contributions made by the city CSVC to socio-economic development of the city over the past years.

The delegation of the city CSVC nominated to attend the national CSVC congress consists of nine members led by Priest Head of the provincial CSVC Peter Nguyễn Hùng.

On the same day, the Dak Lak provincial VFF Committee also met with 11 Catholic delegates who will attend the CSVC’s 7th national congress.

The CSCV’s 7th national congress will be held on October 12-13 in Hanoi with the theme “Companion – Communion – Serving” and the gathering of over 400 delegates who are priests, clergies and typical Catholics across the country.
