The Security and Defense Education Council of Tay Ninh province opened on April 24 a training course fostering knowledge of security and defense for 300 dignitaries of Caodai sects in the locality.

Main contents of the four-day training event included guidelines and policies of the Party and State on national security and defense, including laws on Defense, National Security, Military Service, National border and Vietnam Sea; guidelines and policies of the Party and State on ethnic and religion including the Law on Belief and Religion and the Decree No. 95/2023/NĐ-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Belief and Religion, replacing Decree No. 162/2017/NĐ-CP; some practical issues concerning socio-economic development in line with defense - security reinforcement and people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation, prevention and fight against signs of “peaceful evolution” and hostile forces’ riots and subversion, etc.
At the closing event to be held in April 27, the provincial Security and Defense Education Council will present certificates of the training course to the Caodai participants.
Earlier, 300 key members of Tay Ninh Caodai Church have participated in a similar training on defense and security knowledge held from April 15 to 18.
