Hanoi municipal Religious Affairs Committee and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in the city held on January 06 a communication conference on Buddhist services at worshipping places in the city.
This conference aimed to timely guide the organization of Buddhist services in the Buddhist establishments in the city prior to and during the lunar New Year 2020 in the locality.
Adressing at the conference, Chairman of the municipal Religious Affairs Committee Phạm Tiến Dũng pointed out remaining superstitious activities in Buddhist worship facilities including deviant astrological remedies for reduction of kamra; abuse of burning votive papers; fortune telling, business profitering, etc.
During the conference, Venerable Thích Đạo Phong, Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in the city’s Executive Committee delivered instructions on the organization of Buddhist services at Buddhist worship establishments.
He also emphasized the implementation of the state laws and regulations of the Vietnam Buddhist sangha, and launched the campaign promoting the organization of Buddhist services at Buddhist worshipping places in civilized and economic manners.
