Coast guards care for religious and ethnic minority people in Nghe An

A program, entitled “Coast guards with religious and ethnic minority people,” was organized by the Task force for drug crime prevention and control no. 2 under the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard on September 28-29 in Nghi Quang commune, Nghe An province’s Nghi Loc district.

Presenting gifts to policy beneficiary families

Implementing the program, the task force in collaboration with the Military Command in Nghe An province and local authorities organized two disseminating conferences on the Law on Coast Guards, Law on Drug Prevention and Control, regulations on unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing prevention, and the Party's and State’s guidelines and policies on religion to 300 locals in 100 ships; and planted 55 new trees at inter-village roads .

The task force also handed over 1,000 national flags to fishermen, presented 50 sets of supports to disadvantaged households and 10 bicycle to poor peoples, built two charity houses to two Catholic households and presented one scholarship to pupil Nguyễn Long Nhật from a disadvantaged Catholic family, losing both parents.
