Centre for Preservation of Heritage of Religious Culture honors outstanding Buddhist pagodas and dignitaries in medical activities

The Centre for Preservation of Heritage of Religious Culture held on July 13 an exchange meeting with Buddhist dignitaries on medical charities in 2019 in Ho Chi Minh city.
The event saw the participation of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Cultural Heritage Prof. Dr Đặng Văn Bài, Head of the Centre for preservation of heritage of religious culture Trần Khánh Dư, Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council cum Head of the Buddhist study institute Thích Giác Toàn, former Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng, representatives from the Ministry of Health, and University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event aimed to strengthen exchanges in medical charities of religious individuals and organizations as well as honor typical pagodas and dignitaries in providing medical care to poor patients in localities.
In addition, the event also presented certificates of “preservation of heritage of religious culture” to outstanding places and individuals in preservation and promotion of heritage of religious culture.
