200 Catholic youth have attended the Catholic Youth Festival 2024 held on September 29 at Nguyet Duc parish located in Bac Giang province’s Bac Giang city.

The one-day festival included an exchange forum themed “Youth decently live - Protect the homeland river” to call on the young generation to raise awareness and behavior of environmental protection, and unique art performances and folk games space, creating a playground to connect Catholic youth in the province.
At the festival, Priest Dominic Nguyễn Xuân Trường in charge of Nguyet Duc parish and participants shared about historical and cultural values of Cau River, the river’s current pollution and impacts on agricultural production, aquaculture and locals’ health, thereby highlighting the role of youth in environmental protection and cleaning of the river.

During the festival, the Bac Giang Provincial Youth Union presented 10 million VND to Nguyet Duc Catholic parish for renovation construction of the parish’s community house, and handed over 30 sets with the total value of 21 million VND to Catholic children in the locality.
