Attending the event included Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Phạm Văn Hiểu, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee's Department for Southern Affairs Võ Văn Thiện.

During the meeting, while hearing socio-economic achievements in the city over the past year, local religious dignitaries and deacons expressed pleasure at the development of the city and took the chance to thank the provincial authorities for the support and favorable creations extended to religious practices in Can Tho including the restoration of worship facilities.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Phạm Văn Hiểu praised social contributions made by dignitaries, deacons and followers of religions in Can Tho over the past years, and called on outstanding participants to continue encouraging religious followers to promote fine traditions and actively participate in movements for sustainable development in the city.
