Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in Ho Chi Minh City Võ Thị Dung paid visits on May 28 to several Buddhist establishments in the city on occasion of the 2562nd Birthday of the Buddha.
During the visit, the municipal Party leader met with Most Venerable President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn at the VBS’s Southern Office and visited Hue Nghiem pagoda in District 2 and Phap Hoa Pagoda in Phu Nhuan district.
During the visits, Deputy Secretary Võ Thị Dung extended congratulations and best wishes to all Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the city on the Buddha’s Birthday and hailed their practical contributions to the city.
Also on May 28, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau provincial People’s Committee Trần Hồng Quân paid a visit to the executive committee of the VBS chapter in the province to extend greetings to the VBS chapter and followers in Ca Mau on occasion of the 2562nd Buddha’s Birthday.

The vice chairman was welcomed by Senior Venerable Chairman of the VBS executive committee in the province Thích Huệ Thành at Phat To pagoda located in Ca Mau city.
In An Giang, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Võ Anh Kiệt led a delegation on May 28 to meet with the VBS chapter’s executive committee in the province at its office based in Phuoc Hue Pagoda located in Long Xuyen City for extending congratulations to the Buddhist sangha and followers in the province on the 2562nd Birthday of the Buddha.
