A Buddhist vegetarian cooking competition themed “Buddhism Accompanies with Food Safety” was held on September 19 at Phuoc Hue pagoda in Da Lat city.
The event co-organized by Lam Dong provincial Women Union in collaboration with the board for nuns affairs under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Chapter in the province joint by 10 teams from pagodas and monasteries in the districts of Duc Trong, Dong Duong and Da Lat city.
During the event, 10 teams prepared a set of vegetarian meals for 10 people within 60 minutes as well as introduced recipes and cooking techniques for healthy vegetarian food.
After the contest, the organizing board presented the first prize to the team from Vuong Xa pagoda located in ward 5, Da Lat city, the second prize to three teams from the pagodas of Phuoc Hue, Tu Thuyen and Loc Uyen, and the third prize to six other teams.
