Buddhist pagoda in Bac Lieu proactively supports program issuing electric ID cards to Khmer people

Hung Hoi Commune in Vinh Loi District of the southern province of Bac Lieu is home to a large number of Khmer people.
Supporting a program designed to quickly issue chip-based identification cards to local people, Cai Gia Chot Pagoda located in Hung Hoi Commune has allowed the public security of Vinh Loi to set up a registration place within the pagoda. In this registration place, an assigned public security group has worked daily, including Sunday and Saturday, from 7 AM to 24PM, for collecting essential information of locals for the electric ID cards.
In addition, the management board of the Khmer temple has also proactively informed and encouraged monks, nuns, lay Buddhists and other locals to timely apply for the new ID cards.
Seniour Venerable Tăng Sa Vong, Abbot of Cai Gia Chot Pagoda has shared that the pagoda’s management board has collaborated with local authorities in informing monks, lay Buddhists and other locals in Hung Hoi Commune about the registration for the electronic ID cards, and supported the assigned public security group in setting up the registration place within the pagoda in order to provide a convenient conditions and facilities for local people coming to apply for the new ID card.
