Buddhist chapter in Tien Giang promotes traffic safety

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee in Tien Giang province has signed a coordination program with the provincial traffic safety committee for promoting traffic safety in the locality during a ceremony held on September 21.

Contents of the coordination program between the VBS’s executive committee and the traffic safety committee in the province focused on dissemination of current law provisions on inland waterway navigation and transport to local Buddhists in the period of 2018-2022.

The ceremony saw the participation of Director of the provincial Department of Transport cum Deputy Head of the provincial traffic safety committee Trần Văn Bon, Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s executive committee Thích Huệ Minh, representatives from provincial departments and agencies, and key members of the VBS’s executive boards in districts of the province.

On the occasion, the provincial traffic safety committee presented 100 helmets to the VBS’s chapter in the province.
