Buddhist and Catholic dignitaries having registered as permanent residents in the northern province of Bac Ninh shall receive assist a monthly 50% health insurance subsidy since August 1.
This subsidy is part of a financial package approved the provincial People’s Council of Bac Ninh for supporting the voluntary social insurance and health insurance in the province in the 2021-2025 period.
Dignitaries and deacons of the Buddhist and Catholic organizations who have permanent residence card and conduct legal religious activities in Bac Ninh shall be offered a monthly 50% health insurance subsidy according to the household health insurance premium of the first person in the household.
The financial package approval of the provincial People’s Council took affect since August 1; and the assistance period is based on the actual time of participating in voluntary social insurance and health insurance from August 1, 2021 to December 31, 2025.
For the voluntary social insurance, apart from the financial support from the central government, the provincial budget shall support local residents participating in voluntary social insurance who have permanent residence card and are living in the province. This provincial financial support is equal to 30% of the monthly social insurance premium payment according to the poverty line of rural areas in each period as prescribed by the Prime Minister.
