Bac Giang praises individuals, groups in construction of outstanding communal houses, pagodas, temples

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s Committee in Bac Giang province held on October 27 a conference for reviewing the three-year implementation of a movement launched for the construction of outstanding pagodas and temples for the 2019-2022 period.
The event was chaired by Vice Chairman of the VFF in the province Giáp Ngọc Giang, and joint by representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’executive committee in the province and VBS executive boards in districts and cities of the province.
As reported, Bac Giang province currently has 692 communal houses, 217 temples and 885 pagodas, with over 200,000 Buddhists.
Provincial VFF official presents certificates of recommendation to outstanding groups
Implementing the movement promoting the construction of outstanding pagodas, temples and communal houses launched by the provincial VFF committee, the local VFF boards have collaborated with management boards of worshipping places in localities in setting standards on the construction of outstanding temples, pagodas and communal houses, with successful models of Khanh Van historical relic in Luc Ngan district, Bo Ha communal house in Yen The district and Vinh Ninh communal house in Bac Giang city.

According to Venerable Head of the VBS’s Executive Board in Yen Dung district Thích Thanh Vịnh, a pagoda should include green trees, clean public toilets, trash can with lid and votive papers burning spots in right place.
Vice Chairman of the VFF board in Bac Giang city Nguyễn Văn Bằng also informed that worshipping places in the city have erected sign boards for ensuring security order, environmental sanitation, and civilized behaviors, guiding map, and board signs on the history and development.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Giáp Ngọc Giang highlighted achievements of the movement and asked for a close collaboration between the provincial VFF and the provincial VBS in implementing the movement in the coming time.
Presenting certificates of recommendation to outstanding individuals
On the occasion, the provincial VFF presented certificates of recommendation to ten individuals and 16 groups for their excellent achievements in the movement promoting the construction of outstanding communal houses, temples and pagodas for the 2019-2022 period.
